Dead Cat Bounce are a comedy group made up of writer/performers Demian Fox, Shane O’Brien and James Walmsley, and director/designer/occasional performer Mick Cullinan. The four met in Trinity College Dublin, and have been writing and performing comedy together in various guises since 2002.

In January 2008 they performed their first show as Dead Cat Bounce in the Project Arts Centre, Dublin. Soon after they decided to take this seriously, so they gave up their jobs to become full time comedians. Their parents weren’t pleased.

The group continue to live and work in Dublin.

Dead Cat Bounce:

Demian Fox

Demain is from Galway. He studied Drama and Theatre Studies at Trinity College Dublin where he was a founding member of the comedy group H-BAM. A fairly nifty drummer and musician, he has played in a number of death metal bands, as well as the comedy group Captain Seaweed and the Shagnasties.

Shane O’Brien

Shane is from Dublin, although he also lived in London, Saudi Arabia and San Fransisco as a child. He studied Political Science and Sociology at Trinity, where he was a founding member of H-BAM, and later Los Albatross. Soon after he sold his soul and went to work in advertising for a couple of years.

James Walmsley

James was born in England but grew up in various countries around the world. He came to Dublin in 2001 to study History at Trinity, where he is still doing a PHD. He was a founding member of H-BAM and later Los Albatross. He was also the lead-singer and guitarist for Captain Seaweed and the Shagnasties.

Mick Cullinan

Mick is from Lahinch, Co. Clare. He studied Drama and Theatre Studies at Trinity where he was a founding member of H-BAM and keyboard player for Captain Seaweed and the Shagnasties. When he’s not directing, designing or performing, Mick works as a graphic and web designer. He made this website too. This one right here.
